While growing up in Stratford, Ontario, his talent was obvious long before he became the world wide pop star. He sort of started drumming when he was 2 years old. His mum sad that he would wall on whatever he could get his hands on – plastic bowls, pots and pans, tables, chairs…The money was tight so he taught himself to play the drums, guitar, piano and trumpet, even though he could not read music.
His dad, Jeremy, helped him on the guitar. One of the first songs Justin learned on the guitar was Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.”
